Monica Himo
Hey, I am Monica Himo, a 15 year-old student in the 11th grade at Rosary Sisters’ High School. This year’s conference will mark my seventh time attending a Model United Nations event, and ROSMUN always holds a special place in my heart.
ROSMUN has always been my favorite conference, not just because it’s my school’s conference, but because of the memories and experiences it has given me. As I reflect on how much I have grown since my first MUN conference, I realize that I cannot imagine my school life without the MUN program. Through the years, MUN has taught me the power of diplomacy and negotiation.
I believe that my key to achieving success in anything, regardless of the obstacles present, is always praying to God. It always allows me to overcome the challenges and perform well in almost everything in my life.
Writing MUN resolutions and preparing as a delegate was a daunting task for me in the beginning , but after attending several conferences, I have learned to enjoy the challenge of researching, writing, and debating. Each conference allows me to learn something new and grow as an individual.
The MUN program became a vital part of my life and has allowed me to develop long-lasting skills while meeting amazing people and creating unforgettable experiences.
It’ll be my pleasure to meet you all!
